Pete guitar
and backing vocals
Pete has been playing guitar for nearly thirty years so he’s starting to get the hang of it! He started on classical guitar because his Dad refused to buy him the electric one he saw on Top of the Pops. He gave in eventually and Pete went on over the next few years to own some thirteen different guitars. He has wide musical tastes, from Bach to Peep Purple, and admires blues, jazz and rock guitarists, particularly Gary Moore, Django Reinhardt, Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore and more recently Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. He plays an Ibanez electric with Peavey Renown amplification and still has about seven guitars at the moment including a Burns short-scale jazz and a Takamine acoustic.

| Bobby Harrison formed the original ‘Freedom’ in the autumn of 1967 now he’s back playing drums and singing the blues as well as ever with a new Freedom a four piece Rhythm and Blues band.
Procol Harum colleague, Ray Royer played guitar for the 1967 ‘Freedom’ but, following the band’s appearance in the film “Black On White”, Bobby invited super cult-guitarist Roger Saunders and bass player Walt Monaghan to join him playing heavy blues rock. They toured the USA supporting Black Sabbath and Jethro Tull but whilst they could sell out live shows and toured extensively throughout their career, the goal of a hit album eluded them. Albums “Freedom At Last” (1969) and “Through the Years” (1971) have recently been re-released on CD by ‘Angel Air’ (see ContactUs/Links >)

Stew - Bass guitar
and backing vocals
With a career almost as long as Bobby’s, Stew has been playing bass both professionally and semi-professionally
since 1967 and still plays a 1968 Gibson bass that he bought in 1969! He was ‘nearly famous’ in 1972 when Island Records released a single by his band Hackensack and they accompanied Mott the Hoople and later Free on tours of the UK. He is still playing regularly at Shoebury and
Thorpe Bay Baptist Church and with his Southend based Rock’n’Roll band HeartBeat www.heartbeatonline.co.uk

Andy keyboards
and backing vocals
Andy sings and plays many different instruments in the hope, he says, that he'll eventually find something he's good at! They include keyboards, bass guitar, singing in a church worship band, appearing in plays and musicals, singing and playing recorder in an early music group (when he wakes up in time), wondering why air-keyboard is so much less impressive than air-guitar, singing solos in various classical works, failing to play the guitar, writing music for a local choir, and being offended by karaoke and tasteless ring-tones.
At home he listens to everything from Tallis to Tangerine Dream, taking in baroque, film music, prog-rock, folk, and a host of electronic/synth/new-age artists that he thinks more people should have heard of.
